Lead generation for companies that sell to local businesses

Local leads with a reason to reach out.

ScoutedLead finds the local businesses that fit what you sell, checks each one on its own website in a real browser, and hands you the lead with the reason to reach out and the evidence attached.

Hi Dr. Reyes, I couldn't find a way to book a visit online from your homepage. 9 of the 12 other chiropractors we checked nearby take online bookings. I put together a private preview of what that could look like for Juniper Street. Would you like the link?

Example with a made-up business.

Five kinds of reason to reach out

Every pipeline is built from the reasons that matter for your product. Each one has its own rule for what must be true before we say it.

  • Something's missing

“I couldn't find a way to book online from your homepage”

Said only when a page loaded in a real browser shows no booking button, link or booking system.

    Web studios, booking software

  • They use a competitor

“Your league registers on another platform”

Said only when we saw the platform on their site, and we name the page it was on.

    Software and payments companies

  • A makeshift tool

“Registration is a Google Form, with payment at the first game”

A form, a PDF or "pay at the door" seen on their own pages.

    Booking and registration platforms

  • Not on your marketplace yet

“Your fall league isn't listed on our marketplace”

Checked against your own list of who's already on it, matched by website and name.

    Marketplaces and directories

  • Something just changed

    “Winter registration opens November 15”

A date the business printed on its own site, so the timing is theirs, not a guess.

    Anyone

From a search to a lead worth contacting

  1. Find

We search your markets for the kinds of businesses you sell to, and drop chains, directories and the types you never want.

  2. Check

Each business’s own website is loaded in a real browser, on desktop and on an iPhone, and every fact is recorded as yes, no or unsure.

  3. Qualify

Your playbook’s rules decide who’s worth contacting and why. Unsure answers are never pitched.

  4. Package

Each lead gets its reason, the evidence, the contact details the site publishes and a drafted first message.

  5. Deliver

Leads go to your CRM, a webhook or a spreadsheet. A person on your team reviews and sends.

Built around your use case

A web studio, a booking app and a rec-league platform want different businesses for different reasons. A web studio wants businesses whose websites have a problem the owner can see. A booking app wants businesses that don’t take bookings online, or that use a tool it can replace. A league platform wants leagues, the night they play, what they charge and the system they register on.

ScoutedLead keeps one engine and gives each customer a playbook: which businesses to look for, which checks to run, which reasons count, what the outreach says and where the leads go. Adding a new use case is a new playbook, not a new product, so every customer benefits when the checks get better.

What we never claim

Every fact is recorded as yes, no or unsure, with the page it came from. A claim is only made from a definite answer seen in a real browser. If a page didn’t load, or a booking button might be hidden behind a chat widget, the answer is unsure and the business isn’t pitched on it.

We don’t promise reply rates, call ourselves an AI sales rep, or use contact details a business didn’t publish. Drafts carry your mailing address and an opt-out line, because every cold email needs them.

Who runs ScoutedLead

ScoutedLead is built and run by 45Squared, a web studio in Chicago. We use it for our own prospecting first, so every check is tested on outreach that goes out under our own name before a customer sees it. Before a new playbook sends anything, we run it against businesses we’ve checked by hand, and it only goes live when its answers match.

Who it's for

  • For platforms

Booking, payments, league and marketplace companies. A pipeline set up for your product, with leads delivered to your CRM.

  • For agencies

Web studios, freelancers and marketing agencies. Local businesses with a website problem you can fix, and a free pilot.

  • How it works

The checks behind every lead, what we record and the claims we refuse to make.

Common questions

Is ScoutedLead a list of scraped contacts?

No. Lists of local businesses are cheap and easy to get. What ScoutedLead adds is the reason to contact each one, checked on that business’s own website in a real browser, with the evidence kept so your team can see why the lead was picked. A business with nothing worth saying to it is dropped instead of padded into the count.

Do you send email for us?

No. ScoutedLead drafts the first message and a call opener for each lead. A person on your team reads it, changes what they like and sends it from their own mailbox. That keeps every message accurate, keeps your sending reputation in your hands, and means nothing goes out under your name that nobody looked at first.

Can it work for my kind of business?

If you sell to local businesses and something on their websites shows that they need you, very likely yes. We set up a playbook for your product: which businesses to look for, what makes one a good fit, what the first message says and where the leads go. Tell us about it through the form and we’ll say honestly whether it fits.

Where does the information come from?

From each business’s own website: the pages it publishes, the booking or registration system it links to, and the contact details it lists. We don’t guess email addresses or phone numbers, and a field the site doesn’t state is left blank. Businesses can ask not to be contacted, and that request applies to every customer.

Tell us who you sell to

Send a few lines about your product and the businesses you sell to. We'll reply by email, usually within one business day, and set up a short call if it looks like a fit.

  • Software and marketplace companies: we set up a pipeline for your product
  • Agencies and studios: start with a free pilot of 25 scouted leads
  • Businesses: use this form to ask us not to contact you
